Michael John Anderson - The Craigslist Killer
Michael John Anderson - The Craigslist Killer Katherine Ann Olson was 24 years old and had recently graduated summa cum laude from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She had a degree in theater and Latin studies and was looking forward to going to Madrid to enter into a graduate theater program and getting her masters degree in Spanish. Many her age would have been afraid to venture so far from home, but Olson had a passion for traveling and had been to several places around the world. One time she had even worked as a juggler for a circus in Argentina. All of her previous travel adventures had been good experiences and she was looking forward to Madrid. In October 2007 Katherine spotted a babysitting job listed on Craigslist from a woman named Amy. The two exchanged emails and Katherine told her roommate that she found Amy strange, but had agreed to babysit her daughter on Thursday, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. On October 25, 2007, Olsen left for the babysitting job at Amys home. Investigation The following day, October 26, the Savage Police Department received a phone call that a discarded purse had been seen in the garbage at Warren Butler Park in Savage. Inside of the purse, the police found Olsens identification and contacted her roommate. The roommate told them about Olsens babysitting job and that he thought she was missing. Next, the police located Olsons vehicle at Kraemer Park Reserve. Olsons body was found in the trunk. She had been shot in the back and her ankles were bound with red twine. A garbage bag filled with bloody towels was also found. One of the towels had the name Anderson written in magic marker on it. Olsens cell phone was also inside the bag. Investigators were able to trace Amys email account to Michael John Anderson who lived with his parents in Savage. The police went to Andersons place of employment at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport where he worked refueling jets. They told him that they were investigating a missing person and then took him to the police station for questioning. Once in custody, Anderson was read his Miranda rights and he agreed to talk to the officers. During the questioning, Anderson admitted that he used the online service, admitted he was present when Olson was killed and stated a friend of his thought it would be funny to kill Olson. The questioning stopped when Anderson requested an attorney. Evidence The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) examined Olsons body and the Anderson residence. The following is a list of evidence that was collected: A hair collected from Olsons body had matched Andersons DNA.Andersons fingerprint was found on the drawstring of the garbage bag in Warren Butler Park.The garbage bag contained a blue towel with blood that matched Olsons DNA profile.Olsons cell phone contained Andersons thumbprint.DNA analysis of a blood smear found at the bottom of the stairs in the Anderson residence matched Olsons DNA profile.A Ruger .357 Blackhawk revolver was found in Andersons parents bedroom was the same revolver used to shoot Olsen.A fired cartridge found in Andersons room underneath a pillow also came from the revolver.Andersons next door neighbor identified Olsens car as the one she saw parked in Andersons driveway for two hours on October 25, 2007. Computer Evidence Also found on Andersons computer were 67 postings on Craigslist from November 2006 to October 2007. Those posting included requests for female models and actresses, nude photos, a sexual encounter, babysitters, and car parts. Anderson posted an ad on October 22, 2007, requesting a babysitter for a 5-year-old girl. When Olson responded to the ad, Anderson replied posing as Amy and stated she needed someone to babysit her daughter. There were additional email exchanges between the two in reference to the job. Phone records showed that Olson called Andersons cell phone at 8:57 a.m. on October 25, and Anderson listened to the voice mail at 8:59 a.m. Anderson was charged with first-degree premeditated murder and second-degree intentional murder. Autopsy An autopsy revealed a gunshot wound to Olsons back, and injuries to Olsons knees, nose, and forehead. The medical examiner said Olson bled to death within 15 minutes from the time she was shot. There was no evidence of sexual assault. Aspergers Disorder Anderson pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness, claiming to suffer from Aspergers disorder. The defense hired a psychologist and a psychiatrist who backed up the claim. Those suffering from Aspergers disorder have difficulties in social interaction, show few emotions, limited ability to feel empathy and are often clumsy. The court ordered a mental examination of Anderson by a forensic psychologist and a forensic psychiatrist, both who said that Anderson did not have Aspergers and was not mentally ill or mentally deficient. Scott County District Judge Mary Theisen ruled that expert testimony to the jury regarding Aspergers would not be allowed. Anderson later changed his plea to not guilty. The Trial During Andersons trial, defense attorney Alan Margoles depicted a lonely, socially inept young man who lived with his parents and never dated. He referred to the 19-year-old as a bizarre kid with no social skills who lived in an unreal world. Margoles went on to suggest that when Olsen turned Anderson down and tried to leave, he responded the way he did when he was playing video games - by pulling a gun on her which went off by mistake. He said the shooting was an accident caused by sympathetic response, which is when one hand flinches in response to the other hand. Margoles said he could have accidentally squeezed the trigger when he reached for his dog with his other hand. Margoles said Anderson was guilty only of second-degree manslaughter. That murder with premeditation or intent was never proven. Anderson did not testify at the trial. The Prosecution Chief Deputy County Attorney Ron Hocevar told the jury that Anderson shot Olson in the back because he was curious about death and what it would feel like to kill someone. Testimony was also given from inmates that said Anderson admitted to killing Olsen because he wanted to know what it felt like and that he did not plead insanity, because then I would have to pretend that Im sorry. Hocevar pointed out that Anderson never told the police that the shooting was an accident, or that he tripped over his dog, or that he just wanted a girl to come over to his house. Verdict The jury deliberated for five hours before returning the verdict. Anderson was found guilty of first-degree premeditated murder, second-degree intentional murder, and second-degree manslaughter-culpable negligence. Anderson showed no reaction or emotion when the verdict was read. Victim-Impact Statements During the victim-impact statements the parents of Katherine Olson, Nancy, and the Reverend Rolf Olson read from a journal that Katherine kept as a child. In it, she wrote about her dreams of one day winning an Oscar, of marrying a tall man with dark eyes and of having four children. Nancy Olson spoke of a reoccurring dream that she had been having since her daughter was found dead: She appeared to me as a 24-year-old, naked, with a bullet hole in her back and crawled into my lap, Nancy Olson said. I cradled her for a long time trying to protect her from the cruel world. Sentencing Michael Anderson declined to speak to the court. His attorney spoke for him saying Anderson had the deepest regrets for his actions. Directing her comments directly to Anderson, judge Mary Theisen said that she believed Olson was running for her life when Anderson shot Olson and that it was an act of cowardice. She made reference to Anderson stuffing Olsen in the car trunk and leaving her to die as a brutal, incomprehensible act. You have shown no remorse, no empathy, and I have no sympathy for you. She then handed down her sentence of life in prison without parole. Anderson has since been referred to as one of the many Craigslist Killers. Last Act of Parenting After the trial, Reverend Rolf Olson said the family was thankful for the outcome, but added, Iââ¬â¢m just so sad we had to be here at all. We felt this was the last act of parenting for our daughter.

Definitions in Psychology Theories and Research Methods AP Psychology Identifications History Wilhelm Wundt- (1832-1920) He is the founder of scientific psychology because he was the first person to open a Psychology laboratory in 1879. Wundt is closely tied to structuralism which uses introspection to focus on the basic elements of consciousness. Introspection- introspection is a way for people to look within themselves and describe what they are feeling and thinking. Wundt used this method in the structuralism school of psychology in order to understand the structure of the mind and to identify the basic elements of consciousness. William James- (1842-1910) He is an American Psychologist that is closely associated with functionalism. He was interested in the function and purpose of our behavioral acts and how they intertwine with our environment. Functionalism- The functionalism side of psychology is focused on how our metal operations help us to adapt to our environment. They used methods such as stream of consciousness in order to help explain our behavior. Max Wertheimer- (1880-1943) He is a psychologist mainly known for being a founder of the Gestalt theory who also made contributions to perception, sensation and experimental psychology. Sigmund Freud- (1856-1939) He was an Austrian Physician who is known for creating the Psychoanalytic approach to psychology. He believed that our actions and the way we perceive things are dictated by our unconscious. He also stated that our mind was divided into 3 parts: the Id, Ego, and Superego. Psychoanalytic theory- This is Freudââ¬â¢s theory that our thoughts and actions come from our unconscious. He believed talking with his patients over a long period of time could bring some of their unconscious memories into light and help them overcome their struggles. John Watson- (1878-1958) He was a behaviorist that is most famous for his ââ¬Å"Little Albertâ⬠experiment. He paired a white rat with loud noises and because of this little Albert started crying and was afraid of the rat. He believed that this showed our behaviors are all learned. Ivan Pavlov- (1849-1936)He was a behaviorist that founded the theory of classical conditioning. He is most known for his experiment with dogs in which he paired a tone with food which created a conditioned response to the tone (dog drooling). B. F. Skinner- (1904-1990) Skinner was a behaviorist that founded operant conditioning. He created a box (Skinnerââ¬â¢s Box) in which rats have to hit a bar for food. This box shows that our behavior is greatly influenced by the consequences after a behavior. Behaviorism- This is the perspective of psychology that believes everything we do is a learned response to a situation. They only believe in objective science and therefore do not believe in any of the mental or unconscious processes. Humanist perspective- This perspective of psychology believes we are all good people and we just have to meet our growth potential. It also states that in order to move on to the next level of growth all of the needs below it need to be satisfied. Psychoanalytic perspective- This perspective of psychology is focused on how our thoughts and actions are a product of our unconscious sexual urges. It also focuses on our development through the psycho sexual stages. Biopsychology (or neuroscience) perspective- This perspective of psychology is focused on the relationships of biological, neuroscience, behavior, and our psychological processes. Psychologists in this field study how our genes and our environment interact. Evolutionary perspective- This perspective focuses on how natural selection has influenced human behaviors and traits and why we act like we do based on evolution. Behavioral Perspective- This perspective of psychology only focuses on observable behavior and how we have learned to react to different situations. Behaviorists do not believe in anything that goes on inside of the mind because they cannot directly observe it. Cognitive perspective- This perspective of psychology studies how we encode, process, store, and retrieve information. By studying this they hope to learn how we solve problems, reason and react to situations based on how we think. Social-cultural perspective- This perspective of psychology is focused on how we are shaped by our culture and how our interactions and beliefs differ from someone with a different cultural background. Research Methods Hindsight bias- in research methods, this is the tendency to believe that they knew something would happen all along after they see the result. For example, you predict the Mavericks were going to win but they lost, after the game you will think, I knew they would lose because their Point Guard was off all game. Applied research- Applied research is a research method used to find solutions to everyday problems such as stress. Basic research- This research method is used to do research for the sake of science itself and to accomplish scientific gain. Hypothesis- In scientific method, a hypothesis is a testable prediction often based on a theory. Theory- In scientific method, a theory is an observation that predicts behaviors or events. In order to test a theory you must make a hypothesis based on the theory you want to be tested. Operational definitions- In scientific method, an operational definition are the set of procedures used to define the research variables. Validity- In the principles of test construction, validity is how well the test can predict what it was designed to predict. For example, a driving test is used to test if you know the laws on driving and how to properly handle a car; this test is pretty reliable in testing the subject it was designed to test. Reliability- In the principles of test construction, reliability is how consistent the scores on a test are. There are two ways to test reliability, you can have someone take the test twice and see how the scores compare or you can separate the test by even and odd numbers and have them take both tests. With both of these methods the scores should be close if the test is reliable. Sampling- In research methods, a sample is a portion of something that is used to represent the entirety of what is being sampled. The sample is usually a random sample because that usually will usually yield results applicable to the entirety of what is being sampled. Population- In random sampling, population is the entirety of the group you are studying. Usually testing or polling an entire population would take too long, that is why researchers often use random sampling of the population. Random selection- In random sampling, random selection is a sample that accurately represents an entire population because everyone has an equal chance of being randomly selected. Stratified sampling- in research methods, stratified sampling is when a population is separated based on criteria such as gender, race or income. After you have your population categorized they are randomly sampled in each category. Experiment- In research methods, an experiment is when a researcher manipulates the independent variables in order to affect the dependent variables. Experiments are often used to find cause and effect. Confounding variables- In research methods, confounding variables are outside influences other than the independent variable. To prevent confounding variables the experimenter must limit the variables that the participants of the experiment have. Assignment- In research methods, assignment is the method the researcher uses in order to assign the participants of an experiment to a group. Random assignment- in research methods, random assignment is to assign the participants to a random group. This method tends to yield the most accurate results because everything is random. Experimenter bias- In research methods, Experimenter bias is when the researcher influences the experiment in order to obtain the results he was looking for. To prevent this from happening the researcher usually just observes the experiment and has no interaction with it. Double-blind procedure- In research methods, a double blind procedure is a way to prevent bias in the experiment. When using the double blind procedure neither the experimenters nor the participants know which group they are in. Participant bias (AKA response bias)- In research methods, participant bias is the tendency for the participants to act the way they think the researcher wants them to act. Because of this data can be inaccurate because the people were responding the way they thought the experimenter wanted, not the way they actually felt. Hawthorne effect- In research methods, the Hawthorn effect is that when people know that they are being observed they tend to change their behavior based upon what they think the observer wants to see. Correlation- In research methods, correlation is the relationship that two variables have. The correlation can measure anywhere from -1 to 1. -1 and 1 are both very strong relationships while 0 would be no relationship. Scatter plot- In research methods, a scatter plot is a graph with multiple dots placed on it. The dots on a scatter plot could be really close or really spread apart. If they are close there is a high correlation and if they are spread apart there is a low correlation. Survey method- In research methods, a survey method is a method of learning the behaviors of a specific group. This is mainly done by questioning a representative sample of a group in order to find out specific information about the group being surveyed. Naturalistic observation- In research methods, watching the subject in their natural habitat without controlling the situation is called naturalistic observation. This is the best method to try and limit the Hawthorne effect and get the best results. Case study- In research methods, a case study is the in depth studying of a specific individual to hopefully gain a better understanding of larger groups. Descriptive statistics- In research methods, descriptive statistics are used to display the data gained through research and experiments. There are many ways to use descriptive statistics such as mean, median, mode, variability, range, standard deviation and many more. Through the use of these things you can paint a picture of the data in easy to use graphics and numbers. Measures of variability- Variability is a huge part of statistics and in order to have meaningful data you need to have your variability clearly displayed through the use of standard deviation or other measures of variability. Normal curve- In research methods, the normal curve is bell shaped and it describes how data is distributed. With a normal curve most scores fall near the mean rather than on either end of the normal curve. Inferential statistics- In research methods, inferential statistics are how we use data to help understand and draw conclusions about the data. Statistical significance- In research methods, statistical significance is the chance that the outcome of an experiment is due to chance or the independent variable. Before a researcher begins their experiment they set their P value to establish what results would be statistically significant. There are strict standards that must be followed in order to fall within the APA ethical guidelines such as immediately debriefing the participant if you have deceived them. APA Ethical Guidelines for Animal Research- In research methods, these guidelines protect animals from unneeded harm from psychological experiments or any unethical experiments. Biology Neuroanatomy- In biology, this is the study of our anatomical structure of our neurons and how our different parts of the brain make it work. Neuron- In biology, a neuron is a nerve cell that creates the nervous system. Neurons send information through our body through neurotransmitters. Some examples of neurotransmitters are serotonin and dopamine. Dendrites- In biology, dendrites are the branchlike ends of neurons that are responsible for receiving the information from other neurons. Cell body (soma)- the soma is where the signals from the dendrites go and from the soma they are passed on. Brain plasticity- In biology, brain plasticity refers to the brains ability to adapt if part of your brain gets damaged. Your brain will use another part of your brain to help replace the damaged part. The older you get the less brain plasticity you will have. Myelin sheath- In biology, the Myelin sheath is a cover over your axons to help speed up the process of your neurons. The lack of a myelin sheath causes multiple sclerosis Axon- In biology, the axon is the long part of a neuron that is responsible for the action potential. If you are healthy you will have a myelin sheath covering your axon. Terminal buttons- In biology, terminal buttons are at the very end of a neuron and are responsible for sending the signal on to other neurons. Neurotransmitters- in biology, neurotransmitters are a chemical that passes a message through neurons. Examples of neurotransmitters are dopamine, serotonin and endorphins. Synapse- In biology, the small gap in between neurons is called the synapse. The neurotransmitters must pass through the synapse in order to be passed through the next neuron. Receptor sites- in biology, receptor sites are the receivers of specific neurotransmitters. Receptor sites are located on the dendrites. Threshold- In biology, a threshold is the amount of stimulus we need in order for us to detect the stimuli. There are two types of thresholds for humans, the absolute threshold and the difference threshold. Action potential- In biology, the action potential is a brief firing of a neuron. The action potential is an all or nothing thing if the neuron doesnââ¬â¢t receive enough chemical signals it wonââ¬â¢t fire. Neural firing- In biology, neural firing is when the neuron reaches its action potential and fires itââ¬â¢s signal to the next neuron. Excitatory neurotransmitters- in biology, excitatory neurotransmitters are like accelerators for the neurons. They increase neural firing. Inhibitory neurotransmitters- In biology, inhibitory neurotransmitters are compared to brakes for neurotransmitters. The decrease neural firing. Acetylcholine (ACH) In biology, ACH is a neurotransmitter that plays a part in our attention and arousal. ACH is located in both the central and peripheral nervous system. Dopamine- In biology, dopamine is a neurotransmitter responsible for movement, learning, attention and emotion. Too much dopamine is linked with schizophrenia and not enough dopamine is linked with Parkinsonââ¬â¢s disease. Heritability- In biology, Heritability is the amount of difference in a group or between individuals you can attribute to genetics alone. Serotonin- In biology, Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that affects mood, hunger, sleep and arousal. A lack of Serotonin is known to cause depression. Endorphins- In biology, Endorphins are neurotransmitters that have an ability to dampen pain and they can also control pleasure. Motor Neurons (Efferent) in biology, motor neurons carry messages from the brain and spinal cord to your muscles and glands. Sensory Neurons (Sensory) In biology, sensory neurons are neurons that carry information from your sensory receptors to the brain and spine. Central Nervous System- in biology, the central nervous system consists of the brain and the spine. Spinal Cord- In biology, the spinal cord is the long tube going down your back that is protected by the vertebrae. The spinal cord is responsible for the transmission of neurons between the peripheral nervous system to the central nervous system. Peripheral nervous system- In biology, the Peripheral nervous system is the neurons that that connect the peripheral nervous system to the central nervous system. The peripheral nervous system is the head over the somatic and autonomic nervous system. Somatic nervous system-In biology the somatic nervous system falls under the peripheral nervous system. The somatic nervous system is responsible for voluntary movement. Autonomic nervous system- In biology, the autonomic nervous system is a part of the PNS and is responsible for the regulation of internal organs and glands such as the heart. The Autonomic nervous system is responsible for the sympathetic and parasympathetic part of the PNS. Sympathetic nervous system- In biology, the sympathetic nervous system is part of the autonomic nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for arousal in situations such as a dog baring its teeth at you. Parasympathetic nervous system- In biology, the parasympathetic nervous system is under the autonomic nervous system. It is responsible for calming the body. Lesions- a lesion is a destruction of tissue. A brain lesion is the destruction of part of your brain tissue. If you were to have a brain lesion you would have brain damage and loose function of part of your brain. Electroencephalogram- In biology, an EEG is an amplified recording of brain waves. In order to see the brain waves electrodes must be placed on the scalp. CAT or CT Scan- in neuroimaging techniques, a CT scan is a series of x-rays taken at various angles and combined. CT scans are a good technique for seeing brain damage. MRI- In neuroimaging techniques, an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce pictures of soft tissue. MRIs are good for showing the anatomy of a brain. PET scan- In neuroimaging techniques, a PET (positron emission tomography) is a visual display of our brain activity. We can see which part of the brain is being used by the radioactive glucose that is injected into the body. This method is good for seeing what part of the brain is being used during certain tasks. fMRI- In neuroimaging techniques, a fMRI (Functional MRI) is a technique that shows the blood flow of the brain. This technique is good for showing how our brain functions. Hindbrain- In brain structures, the hindbrain is the oldest part of our brain. It includes the medulla, pons and the reticular formation. The hindbrain is responsible for our heartbeat, breathing, and other automatic survival functions. Medulla- In brain structures, the Medulla is the bottom of the brainstem and it controls our heartbeat and out breathing. Pons- In brain structure, the Pons is the top of the brainstem that is responsible for arousal and wakefulness. Cerebellum- In brain structures, the cerebellum is located at the rear of the brain. The cerebellum is responsible for our balance and movement. Midbrain- In brain structures, the midbrain is responsible for auditory and visual information and is in charge of eye movement and body movement. Reticular formation- in brain structures, the reticular formation is the part of the brainstem that controls arousal. Forebrain- In brain structures, the forebrain is the part of the brain that includes the thalamus, hypothalamus, and the cerebrum. Thalamus- In brain structures, the Thalamus is responsible for directing the traffic to the parts of the brain. It is located on the top of the brainstem. Hypothalamus- In brain structures, the hypothalamus is responsible for eating, drinking and controlling body temperature. The Hypothalamus is located in the limbic system. Amygdala- In brain structures, the Amygdala is responsible for controlling our fear and aggression.

Welsh Poetry Essay - Compare and contrast White Roses with Stop all the Clocks. -Compare and contrast "White Roses" with "Stop all the Clocks." "White Roses" is about a young boy who dies. It was written by Gillian Clarke, a modern Welsh poet. The title of the poem is ironic, because "White Roses" suggests youth, beauty and innocence. The poem starts with, "Outside the green velvet sitting room" This suggests luxury and wealth. The use of the colour green is also very indicative, because the colour green suggests spring and fertility and overall life. This is in contrast with the theme of the poem, which is suppoused to be one of death, but in actuality, it is as much about life as it is of death. The next two verses fit in with the theme of green, fertility and springtime. "White roses bloom after rain" "They hold water and sunlight" This is a simile. Water and sunlight are essential to life, which interlock with the theme of life. The newly-bloomed white roses are only still alive because of the water and sunlight they hold. The reader is then taken inside , to a scene of sickness and disease. "Within the boy who sleeps in my care, In the big chair" "Big chair" suggests that this boy is a very small boy. The boy awakens to pain. "The cold bloom Opens at a terrible speed And the splinter of ice moves" The second and the third stanza are linked together, through enjambment. "In his blood as he stirs in the chair" From the next line we can assume that the boy and carer are not family. The narrator is merely a nurse or a carer for this boy. The boy is obviously in a lot of pain. A sympton of some unknown disease. He grits in teeth in effort to subdue of forget the... ...ve, where-as "Stop all the Clocks" is written in first person narrative. "Stop all the Clocks" is also a more personal poem where as "White Roses" is more vauge and abstract. More objective . "White Roses" is about a child, who was not close to the poet, dying. "Stop all the Clocks" is a poem all about grieving and mourning for a lover, a partner. It is about the complete and utter outpouring of grief. "White Roses" is simply a reflection of death. The poem I prefer is "Stop all the Clocks", because I feel it is a more significant poem than "White Roses" simply because it is a more personal poem. A poem full of heartache, grief and despair that someone the poet truly loved has gone forever. I feel it is a more realistic poem. Although "White Roses" is a sad poem, "Stop all the Clocks" is a sadder poem. Full of an overwhelming sense of grief and of loss.

Critique of the AHIMA Code of Ethics Essay
One of the most important gifts that God gave us is our life. Without it, we are nothing. And to show our appreciation for this gift, we should take good care of our life by staying healthy. Nowadays, healthcare is very expensive: from medicine to health information management. The professionals that are involve in health information management takes charge of the administration and progress of medical information systems of the patient to guarantee the safety, security and privacy of the information. Much medical information contains several accounts that must be protected for the good of the individual concern and for the immediate family. The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is the premier association in the US which includes Health Information Management (HIM) professional from all parts of the country. These HIM professionals have proficiency in healthcare information technology which includes accreditation from the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). The responsibilities of the AHIMA members are not only providing service, protecting medical and social information, and assuring the privacy and confidentiality of these information but also to improve the quality of service in healthcare. To maintain the best service for the benefit of the patient, AHIMA provide its own code of ethics. This code of ethics will provide each HIM professional of the proper conduct each and every one of them should possess. AHIMA believes that this code of ethics is important for it will make this HIM practitioners the professional they should be. Professional in terms of having the values a good HIM professional should be. This code is necessary for it provides the guidelines for the conduct that should be shown towards a conflict or situation. It is the sole obligation of the HIM professionals to show actions that will mirror values and ethical principles. This Code of Ethics has 6 principles. Among those principles ââ¬Å"is to determine the proper values that this task is basedâ⬠and ââ¬Å"gives HIM professional the option to weigh the circumstances under which they are involvedâ⬠(AHIMA Code of Ethics). These principles will help them think of having the right decision that is needed. However, this code does not provide any specific event or situation wherein HIM professionals will have to follow. They are still the one who will decide of the decision they will make. The code implementation lies to the one who reviews the task done by a HIM professional. If a HIM professional is being regarded as a violator of the code, it does not mean that he/she will have a legal responsibility. This still undergoes in a peer review process that will make it fair for both of the professional and the other party that regarded him/her of the violation. The AHIMA Code of Ethics does not have the solution to all the problems that will arise nor will assure the ethical and principal behavior. Rather, it will set onward values that show the ethical meaning of the profession. On the other hand, the professional responsibilities do many heroic or sacrificial things to each professional. They act beyond the limits to make sure that they do their whole responsibility. Sometimes, individuals act through values of loyalty and service to others. They make themselves proud of the profession they have because of what they done to otherââ¬â¢s lives. And this is to provide the people the need of protection of their medical and social information. I know that this code of ethics will give me the chance to become one of the finest and trusted HIM professional in the future. This will help my character grow for better by providing the idea of having the right decision in certain disputes and problems. So, how this code of ethics would make me realize that this is for real? That this will help me once I became a HIM professional? It is up to us, future HIM professional, to be guided of these principles. And it is up to us to give our own heart and passion for service and protection of peopleââ¬â¢s lives. Abstract Corporate social responsibility (CSR) draws more and more attentions from stakeholders, especially in the rapidly growing Chinese market. Most of the previous study regarding CSR and customer related outcomes are based on the social exchange theory, while the potential effect of customer company identification (C-C identification) has been ignored. Recently, the important effect of C-C identification on CSR has been conceptually and empirically validated by some studies. The study incorporates the C-C identification, trust, satisfaction as mediator between CSR and customersââ¬â¢ purchase intention, expanding previous studies by combining the social identity perspective with social exchange theory. In other words, the benefits of a certain company will be harmed if customers perceived its irresponsible activities. As an example, after the exposure of its emission scandal, Volkswagen, which was viewed as a responsible beforehand, encountered a 37% stocks price slump within two days. However, good CSR activities can still cause positive influence on Volkswagenââ¬â¢s reputations to minimize the lost in its reputation. After the scandal, Volkswagen said that it would recall around 8.5 million diesel-engine cars in the European Union and it would give $1,000 to some owners of diesel VW and Audi cars that do not achieve the emissions limits in the United States. As a positive results of the mentioned CSR actions, suggested by CN BC on October 20th 2015, over two thirds of German consumers, out of the 1,000 German adults questioned in an online survey, believe that the embattled German carmaker still builds outstanding cars and that the emissions scandal was overdone.
